The Townscape Exchange Center, formerly the Oomori District Court built in 1888, is a nationally designated historic site located in Oda, Shimane. A portion of the old courtroom has been restored and is open to the public as part of the center. Here, visitors can learn about the history of silver mining and town preservation through free exhibits and videos. Located in the heart of the Oomori townscape, it's easily accessible by a 25-minute bus ride from Oda City Station followed by a 10-minute walk from the Oomori Daikansho site. This unique blend of Western and Japanese architecture offers a glimpse into the Meiji era and the region's rich heritage. It's a great place to take a break while exploring the historic town.
