Ikura Cave, located in Niimi, Okayama, is a stunning limestone cave formed over many years by the erosion of rainwater. As one of Japan's three major caves and a designated natural monument of Okayama Prefecture, it offers a cool escape in summer and a warm retreat in winter with a constant temperature of 15-16°C. Explore the 1200m-long cave, featuring about 30 unique rock formations and three waterfalls. The entrance is marked by a 240m-high limestone cliff. It's a 10-minute walk from Ikura Station. Open from 8:30 to 17:00 (last entry at 16:30) year-round.
