Located within the grounds of Takekoma Shrine in Iwanuma, Miyagi Prefecture, the Equestrian Museum (Bajihakubutsukan) showcases a unique collection of equestrian-related artifacts. Highlights include a prototype equestrian statue of Date Masamune. Note that the museum has limited opening times, primarily during the New Year period and the Hatsuuma Grand Festival. The museum is a short 15-minute walk from Iwanuma Station on the Tohoku and Joban lines, and a 10-minute drive from the Iwanuma IC on the Sendai Tobu Road. Admission is ¥200 for adults and ¥100 for children/students.
