Former Japanese National Railways Kurayoshi Line Abandoned Railway Site Tourist Information Center

Overview

The Former Japanese National Railways Kurayoshi Line Abandoned Railway Site Tourist Information Center is located about 1.7 km west of the Kurayoshi City Sekigane Branch Office. It's accessible by car (approx. 2 minutes) or on foot (approx. 20 minutes). The information center is open Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10:00 to 16:30, and is open until the end of November in 2023. It provides information about the abandoned railway site of the former Kurayoshi Line, which was discontinued in 1985. Volunteers are available to answer questions. The beautiful abandoned railway site, considered one of the most scenic in Japan, is about a 20-minute walk from the center.
