The Maebashi Station Keyaki Tree-lined Street is a beautiful avenue extending north from JR Maebashi Station's north exit. This 500-meter stretch, lined with Zelkova trees, was developed as part of a post-World War II reconstruction project and serves as a symbol of the city. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the wide sidewalks, adorned with sculptures and benches. The street connects the station to the city center and offers a pleasant walk, especially during spring and autumn when the foliage is vibrant. Keep in mind that the area can feel a bit quiet, particularly outside of business hours. It's a great starting point for exploring Maebashi's attractions, including Gunma Prefectural Office Building and Maebashi Park.
