Imahashi Bridge, located in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, spans the Kurashiki River and connects the Ohara Museum of Art with the former Ohara Residence. Originally a wooden bridge dating back to 1710, it was rebuilt as a stone bridge in 1863. The current bridge was reconstructed in 1926 in anticipation of a visit by Emperor Showa. Noteworthy features include dragon carvings on the railings and chrysanthemum crests on the pillars. It's a popular spot for photos, offering scenic views of the river and surrounding townscape. The bridge is a short 15-minute walk from JR Kurashiki Station. Visit in the morning to avoid crowds and fully appreciate the bridge's details and the surrounding beauty.
