The Akino Fuku Museum, reminiscent of a medieval European castle, is located on a small hill overlooking the town of Futamata. It showcases the works of local-born Japanese painter Akino Fuku. The museum is accessible via a 10-minute walk from Tenryū-Futamata Station or a short bus ride from Nishi-Kajima Station. The building itself is a work of art, featuring a natural design by Terunobu Fujimori. Inside, you'll find a serene space to appreciate Akino Fuku's art, including pieces inspired by the local Tenryū River and her travels in India. The museum is open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, closed on Mondays (open if Monday is a public holiday). Admission is ¥300 for adults and ¥150 for high school students.
