Explore the historic Shinjō Castle Ruins, now a beautiful park easily accessible with a 15-minute walk from Shinjō Station. Founded in 1625 by Tozawa Masamori, the castle served as the seat of the Tozawa clan for 243 years. Today, visitors can see remnants of the original moats and stone walls within Mogami Park. It's especially stunning in spring when approximately 300 cherry trees bloom. Don't miss the Tozawa Shrine located within the castle grounds.
