Beinokotaki Falls, also known as Rice Flour Falls, is a modest 40-meter cascade located on the Bonji River in Tsuruoka, Yamagata Prefecture. The falls are easily viewed from the Oami Bridge, offering a quick and accessible natural attraction. Some visitors note that the falls are most visible in the late fall and winter after the leaves have fallen. To find the falls, look for the Beinokotaki Falls Drive-in along National Route 112. The falls are visible from the parking area behind the drive-in. While some find the falls resemble falling rice flour, others may not see the resemblance, but it's still worth a stop if you're in the area.
