The Kaiun Bridge, also known as the "Luck-Bringing Bridge," is a vermilion-lacquered structure built in 1931 as part of the approach to Shigisan Chogosonshi-ji Temple. This rare cantilever truss bridge is the oldest of its kind still standing in Japan and was designated a Registered Tangible Cultural Property in 2007. Located in Sango Town, Nara Prefecture, it's a short walk from the Nara Kotsu Shigisan Ohashi bus stop. While visiting, you can also experience a bungee jump from the center of the bridge. For the best view of the bridge, visit the Shigisan Tourist Information Center's cafe terrace or the Shigisan Ohashi bridge downstream.
