The Matsue Kofun, believed to date back to the early 6th century, is a circular tomb featuring a horizontal stone chamber. Located in Ida, Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, it's accessible by a 30-minute boat ride from Numazu Port followed by a 15-minute Toda Kotsu bus ride to Ida, and then a short walk. This ancient site, dating back to the Yamato period, is part of the Ida Matsue Kofun group, which includes about 20 small tumuli. Visitors can explore the stone chamber of the largest tomb.
