Yonomori Park is a renowned cherry blossom viewing spot, featuring approximately 1,500 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino trees over 100 years old, which create a stunning tunnel of flowers in mid-April. Additionally, in mid-May, 5,000 azalea bushes bloom within the JR Yonomori Station grounds, offering a colorful spectacle visible from the train windows. Located in Tomioka Town, Fukushima Prefecture, the park is easily accessible, being a 5-minute walk from Yonomori Station or a 5-minute drive from the Joban-Tomioka Interchange. The park has undergone recent renovations, including the addition of children's play equipment, making it a welcoming destination for families. The best time to visit is during the spring to witness the cherry blossoms and azaleas in full bloom.
