Kōka-an

Overview

Kōka-an is one of the unique "Fujimori Tea Houses" designed by architect Terunobu Fujimori, located in Chino City. This whimsical teahouse, perched atop two trees, has even been featured as one of the world's most dangerous buildings by TIME Magazine. While the interior is typically only accessible via special tours, visitors can admire the exterior and the adjacent "Flying Mud Boat." Located behind the Moriya Historical Museum, it offers a quirky blend of architecture and nature. The best time to visit is during the afternoon to capture the unique structures against the sky.
