Isesaki Shrine

Overview

Located just a short walk from Isesaki Station, Isesaki Shrine is a historic site founded in the Kamakura period by Miura Yoshizumi. While the shrine grounds are compact, the main hall, rebuilt in the late Edo period, features impressive carvings. The shrine is known for its annual Jōshū Yaki Manju Festival in mid-January, coinciding with Isesaki's first market of the year, where giant grilled buns are prepared and shared. Visit to experience a unique local tradition. The shrine also offers parking and is easily accessible.
