Kameyama is a 235-meter mountain located on the north side of Oshima Island in Kesennuma. The summit offers panoramic views of Kesennuma City and the ria coast. While a lift used to take visitors to the top, it is currently out of service. The summit features an observation deck and the Atago Shrine, a guardian of the island. Hiking to the top allows you to see the scars of the earthquake, with damaged trees serving as a reminder of the disaster. The mountain offers a tranquil experience with stunning views, especially at night when the city lights, fishing fires, and stars create a beautiful scene.
