Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine, with over 2000 years of history, is a significant ancient shrine that is said to be the origin of the name Omiya. As the premier shrine of Musashi, it attracts worshippers from all over the Kanto region, especially during the New Year's holidays. The shrine is known for its serene atmosphere and beautiful grounds, including a long, tree-lined approach. Key events include the New Year's festival (January 1), Setsubun Festival (February 3), and the Omiya Takigi Noh in May. Visitors can easily access the shrine via a 15-minute walk from Omiya Koen Station or a 20-minute walk from Omiya Station East Exit.
