The Katsuura City Art and Cultural Exchange Center Küste, affectionately known as "Küste" (German for coast), is a hub for arts and culture in Katsuura. Located on a hill, it offers scenic views of the sea from its second-floor terrace. The center is easily accessible by bus from Katsuura Station or a 15-minute walk, though the walk involves an uphill climb. Küste is particularly famous for hosting the Katsuura Big Hina Doll Festival, where thousands of Hina dolls are displayed, including a stunning 6,000-doll arrangement in the main hall. Outside of the festival, the center provides a quiet space for work and relaxation with free Wi-Fi and occasional art exhibitions.
