Located along the bustling Naritasan Omotesando, the Naritasan Yakushido Hall is a historic gem and the oldest existing building of Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. Originally built in 1655 as the main hall, it was later moved to its current location in 1855. This hall enshrines Yakushi Nyorai, the Buddha of healing, and is said to have been visited by notable figures like Mito Mitsukuni. While easily missed amidst the lively atmosphere of the Omotesando, it offers a tranquil respite and a glimpse into the temple's past. Visit during the day to appreciate its architecture and historical significance. Note that the hall is accessed via stairs, and the grounds are compact.
