Heikenji Temple, also known as Kawasaki Daishi, is a renowned temple of the Shingon sect and one of the three major temples in the Kanto region. Founded in 1128, it's easily accessible, just an 8-minute walk from Kawasaki-Daishi Station on the Keikyu Daishi Line. The temple is famous for its main hall and the impressive Hachikaku Gojunoto (an octagonal five-story pagoda). The temple grounds also feature the Yakushi-den Hall and the Automobile Traffic Safety Prayer Hall. The Nakamise-dori street leading to the temple is lined with shops selling traditional crafts and treats like Kuzumochi. With barrier-free facilities, Heikenji welcomes all visitors.
