Shotoyama Nippon-ji Temple, founded in 1319, is a historic Nichiren Buddhist temple known for its role as a center of learning for monks. Once home to the Nakamura Danrin, one of the Kanto region's three major seminaries, the temple now offers a serene atmosphere with beautiful grounds. Key features include the mountain gate with calligraphy by Hon'ami Koetsu, a bell tower, and a sutra repository.
