Okunakayama Highland offers a fantastic ski experience with panoramic views from its 1,018m summit, challenging even advanced skiers. The gentle slopes at the base are perfect for families and beginners. Enjoy night skiing with colorful lighting. Located in Iwate Prefecture, it's accessible by car from the Tohoku Expressway (45 minutes from Takizawa IC) or by bus from Okunakayama-Kogen Station on the IGR Iwate Galaxy Railway. The highland also features a hot spring where you can relax after a day on the slopes (discount available with a used lift ticket). Parking is free with space for 500 cars.
