Joren Falls, a scenic highlight of Izu, features a 25-meter waterfall cascading down basalt cliffs amidst lush greenery. The cool mountain air and refreshing spray offer a welcome escape, even in summer. Below the falls, you'll find the Amagi International Trout Fishing Area and wasabi fields, a local specialty. Designated as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, the basalt cliffs are home to the protected Hayakomochishida fern. The falls are accessible via a 40-minute bus ride from Shuzenji Station to Joren no Taki, followed by a short walk. Be prepared for a descent down steep stairs to reach the falls, with a gentler viewing platform available near the parking area.
