Masutobi Falls

Overview

Masutobi Falls, located downstream from Fukiware Falls in Numata, Gunma Prefecture, offers a captivating natural spectacle. The falls are accessible via a walking path from the Fukiware Falls bus stop, though safety ropes may restrict a full view of the cascade. Known as the 'falls where trout cannot leap,' Masutobi Falls features a powerful flow, especially during periods of abundant water, creating a refreshing misty atmosphere. The falls are closed during the winter months (early December to late March). Visit during open seasons to enjoy the sounds of rushing water and the surrounding scenery. Parking is available at the Taki no Eki Fukiware, followed by a short walk.
