Unpenji Temple, also known as Kumoadari-tera, is located in Miyoshi, Tokushima Prefecture, and can be reached in 40 minutes by car from JR Awa-Ikeda Station. As the 66th temple on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, it's known as "Shikoku's Koyasan" due to its high elevation. Visitors often take the Unpenji Ropeway to ascend the mountain, offering stunning views, including the Seto Ohashi bridge on clear days. The temple grounds feature notable sights like the Bishamonten statue, the Gohyaku Rakan statues, and the "Otanomi Nasu" where visitors can sit and make a wish. The best time to visit is during autumn for the beautiful foliage. Admission is free.
