Nakatashiro

Overview

Nakatashiro is located in Katashina Village, Gunma Prefecture, and is a central part of the Oze area. This expansive marshland, situated within the triangle formed by the Ushikubi fork, Ryugu Crossroads, and Yoppi Bridge, offers picturesque views with numerous ponds and alpine plants. It's a prime location to experience the beauty of Oze, with highlights including the Mizubasho flowers in spring and Nikko Kisuge in early summer. The area is relatively flat, making it ideal for comfortable hiking. Visit during the warmer months to fully appreciate the natural scenery and avoid slippery conditions on the wooden paths during misty mornings.
