Natane Island, the largest of the Uradome Coast islands, rises dramatically with 60-meter cliffs and a 400-meter circumference. It's best known for the vibrant yellow rapeseed flowers that bloom on its slopes in mid-April. Legend says these flowers originated from rapeseed carried by a Kitamae ship that wrecked nearby during the Edo period. As the tip of a chain of five islands known as Natane Goshima, it offers stunning views and photo opportunities. Accessible via a 12-minute bus ride from Iwami Station to the Tagō bus stop, followed by a 10-minute walk. Visit in spring to witness the island's golden transformation.
