The Kasaoka City Takekyo Art Museum, founded in 1982, honors the renowned Japanese painter Takekyo Ono, a native of Kasaoka. The museum features a collection of Ono's works, with new exhibits in the renovated annex. The museum is a key cultural landmark in southwestern Okayama Prefecture. Located a short taxi ride from JR Kasaoka Station, the museum is accessible via the Sanyo Expressway. The museum also features a beautiful courtyard with a water harp. Note that the museum is closed for maintenance from August 28, 2023, to March 15, 2024.
