The Former Taisha Station, also known as Kyu-Taisha Station, is a historic railway station in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. Designated as an Important Cultural Property, this Western-style building showcases unique architectural features. Although train services ceased in 1990, the station remains open to the public as a museum. Visitors can explore the preserved platforms, railway tracks, and a vintage D51 steam locomotive. Currently undergoing preservation repairs until December 2025, the station offers a glimpse into Japan's railway history. Located a short bus ride from JR Izumoshi Station, it's a must-see for railway enthusiasts and history buffs.
