The Katsuura Big Hina Doll Festival is a vibrant spring event held in Katsuura, Chiba. Hina dolls donated from across Japan are displayed at various locations, including the steps of Tomisaki Shrine and special platforms at Kakuouji Temple. The festival began in 2001, thanks to a donation of approximately 7,000 dolls from Katsuura Town in Tokushima Prefecture. The 1,800 dolls on Tomisaki Shrine's steps are set up each morning and taken down each evening. The festival runs from February 23 to March 3, 2024, with various displays and events throughout the city. Don't miss the creatively decorated dolls in the local shopping streets!
