Shogakuin Temple, located next to Keta Grand Shrine in Hakui City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is a historic temple with deep ties to the shrine. Originally founded as Keta Grand Shrine's Jinguji (temple), Shogakuin boasts a history of over 1000 years. The temple is home to significant cultural properties, including a wooden seated statue of Amitabha Tathagata that was once housed in Keta Grand Shrine, as well as works by Hasegawa Tohaku. Visitors can enjoy the serene atmosphere and well-maintained grounds. The temple is easily accessible when visiting Keta Grand Shrine. Note that internal visits to the main hall require advance booking.
