Discover the serene Daitsu-ji Temple Garden in Yakage, Okayama, a designated Place of Scenic Beauty. Constructed between 1793 and 1813 and also known as Sekijuen, this pond-style garden features a stunning arrangement of stones and water features set against the backdrop of Mt. Takamine. Admire the Shakyamuni Triad stone arrangement and the unique gourd-shaped pond with its turtle-shaped island and single-stone bridge. Located a 5-minute drive from Yakage Station or 25 minutes from the Sanyo Expressway Kamogata IC, the garden offers a peaceful retreat. The temple is a little remote, but the garden behind the main hall is beautiful and refreshing. Entry is ¥400 for adults.
