The Mutsu-Minato Station Morning Market, located right in front of Mutsu-Minato Station in Hachinohe, is a vibrant marketplace offering a taste of local life. Open from 4:00 AM to 7:00 AM on weekdays, this market features around 100 stalls selling fresh seafood like sardines, mackerel, and squid, alongside dried goods, delicacies, vegetables, and flowers. It's a unique experience to see a morning market so close to a train station. Visitors can create their own seafood bowls with ingredients purchased directly from the vendors. Note that the market is closed on Sundays and the second Saturday of the month (for the municipal fish and vegetable retail market only), as well as during the New Year holidays. It's best to arrive early for the freshest selection.
