Senjogahara is a marshland in Nikko National Park, accessible by bus from JR and Tobu Nikko Stations, or by car via the Nikko Utsunomiya Road. This highland marsh, formed from a dammed lake, is known for its diverse alpine plants, including cotton grass, azaleas, and meadowsweet, best seen from June to August. According to legend, it's the site where gods of Mt. Akagi and Mt. Nikko battled. The area features well-maintained wooden paths for easy exploration, offering scenic views of the surrounding mountains and abundant birdlife.
