The Former Olympic Church in Goto City is a historic wooden church dating back to 1881, making it one of the oldest existing churches in the Goto Islands. Originally the Hamawaki Church, it was relocated and renamed after the area it was moved to. Designated as a National Important Cultural Property and part of a World Heritage Site, the church offers a glimpse into the region's rich Christian history. Note that access involves a 10-minute walk down a mountain path from the parking area. The interior is notable for its unique curved ceiling and stained-glass-style windows.
