Located on the historic site of Otaki Castle, once home to Honda Tadakatsu, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Tokugawa, the Chiba Prefectural Central Museum, Otaki Castle Branch is a castle-style museum showcasing the history of castles and castle towns in the Boso region. Explore exhibits featuring swords, armor, and costumes. Don't miss the special exhibitions held annually in the fall, featuring diverse historical materials from within and outside the prefecture. The museum is easily accessible from Otaki Station on the Isumi Railway. Admission is ¥200 for adults, with separate fees during special exhibitions.
