The Tokyo Electric Power Company Decommissioning Archive in Tomioka, Fukushima, offers a look into the decommissioning efforts following the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident. Located a 15-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride from Tomioka Station, the archive features exhibits including a full-scale replica of a fuel assembly and models of the Fukushima Daiichi plant. Guided tours, lasting either 60 or 90 minutes, are available to provide context and explanations of the displays. Note that while photography is permitted, video and audio recording are not. Open from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, but closed on the third Sunday of each month and during the New Year holidays. Reservations are prioritized for tours.
