The Hagoromo no Matsu (Robe of Feathers Pine) is a legendary pine tree located in Miho no Matsubara, Shizuoka. According to legend, an angel hung her robe on this tree while admiring the beautiful scenery. The current tree is the third generation, with the first having been lost to the sea during the Hoei eruption of Mount Fuji in 1707. Visitors can easily find the tree along the path from the Miho no Matsubara parking area to the beach. While in the area, explore the scenic pine groves and visit the nearby Miho Shrine.
