Nobiru Coast, located in Higashimatsushima City, Miyagi Prefecture, is a 3 km stretch of sandy beach within Okumatsushima. Severely affected by the 2011 tsunami, the area has been undergoing reconstruction, including the construction of seawalls. While still showing signs of recovery, the coast offers scenic views of both the Ishinomaki industrial area and the Matsushima landscape. Beach sports areas have been newly established, and the beach is scheduled to reopen in the summer of 2022. Visitors can also explore the nearby former Nobiru Station, now the Higashimatsushima City Earthquake Reconstruction Memorial Museum.
