Chicken Kojima is a small, uninhabited island located off the coast of Hakata Island in the Seto Inland Sea. Easily accessible from the Hakata Island IC, this picturesque spot is part of the Seto Inland Sea National Park and offers stunning views of the Hakata-Oshima Bridge. According to local legend, a golden rooster brought from Korea settled on the island, and hearing its crow on New Year's Day is said to bring good luck. While you can't land on the island itself, the adjacent Chicken Kojima Campground on Hakata Island provides a great vantage point. For a closer look, consider taking a boat tour from the Murakami Suigun Museum on Oshima. The island is best viewed in the late afternoon when the scenery is particularly beautiful.
