Nihisan Shrine, known locally as Sanno-san, is revered as a god of agriculture. Founded in the mid-Kamakura period, the shrine is located near Kunenan Garden, making it easily accessible for tourists. Visitors can admire the stunning autumn foliage, including a tunnel of maple trees along the main approach, and a massive 800-year-old camphor tree. Don't miss the sacred water (Kongo-sui) near the main hall, believed to have healing properties. A special rice-field dance is performed every 12 years during the Year of the Monkey. It's a serene spot to enjoy nature and local traditions.
