The Former Yūbikan and Garden, a nationally designated Historic Site and Place of Scenic Beauty, is easily accessible just a minute's walk from Yūbikan Station. This traditional landscape garden, created in 1715, features a circuit-style pond with islands and borrows the cliffs of Iwayama Castle as a backdrop. Explore the meticulously maintained grounds, which were restored after damage from the 2011 earthquake. The garden offers beautiful views in all seasons, especially during autumn foliage. Inside the building, you can see old textbooks. Open to the public, admission is ¥300 for adults.
