Kappa Bridge is a must-see landmark in Kamikochi, offering stunning views of the Azusa River and the Hotaka mountain range. This iconic suspension bridge, now in its fifth iteration, is easily accessible from the Kamikochi Bus Terminal. Legend has it that the bridge's name comes from deep pools where Kappa (mythical water creatures) were said to reside, or from people crossing the river with clothes on their heads, resembling Kappa.
