The Waterfall Observation Deck in Yonezawa, Yamagata, offers a glimpse of the Akataki and Kurotaki waterfalls, considered the source of the Mogami River. Located along the Nishi-Azuma Sky Valley (Route 2), the deck provides a scenic stop for travelers. While the waterfalls may appear small in the distance, a monument marking the "Source of the Mogami River" stands at the parking area. For a better view of the falls, walk a short distance down the Sky Valley from the observation point. Note that trees may obstruct the view from the designated observation deck itself.
