Unosumai Tomosu is a park facility located right in front of Sanriku Railway's Unosumai Station. It features the Kamaishi Prayer Park, built on the site of the former Disaster Prevention Center, along with the Inochi wo Tsunagu Koryukan (connecting life hall) and the Unosato Koryukan, which houses shops and a cafeteria and also serves as the station waiting room. It is a place to learn about the 2011 earthquake and tsunami, and to reflect on disaster prevention. The park includes a monument showing the height of the tsunami and a memorial to the victims. The Future Museum connects life and offers free access to materials from the disaster and disaster prevention learning resources. The adjacent Unosato Koryukan offers local products and meals.
