Yoro Temple

Overview

Yoro Temple, located within Yoro Park in Gifu Prefecture, is associated with the legend of Koko Genjo and is said to offer blessings for longevity. The temple's main hall features an eleven-faced, thousand-armed Kannon statue, a designated Important Cultural Property. While the temple grounds may appear humble, with a bell tower and a hall dedicated to Fudo Myoo, it holds historical significance, having been rebuilt after a fire during the Oda Nobunaga era. Visitors can also find the grave of Koko Genjo within the temple grounds. The temple is conveniently located near the parking area for Yoro Falls, making it an accessible stop for those exploring the park.
