Yukyuzan Park, affectionately known as "Oyama" by locals, was established by the third lord of the Nagaoka Domain, Makino Tadatoshi, who planted various trees, including cedars from Sado. The park is home to approximately 2,500 cherry trees that bloom in spring. Visitors can enjoy facilities such as a pool, baseball field, small zoo, monkey mountain, Japanese garden, local history museum, and playground equipment. The park also features walking trails around Sensui Pond, offering opportunities to observe plants, insects, and wild birds. It is accessible by bus from JR Nagaoka Station or by car from the Nagaoka Interchange. The park also features wheelchair-accessible restrooms and illuminated cherry blossoms in the evening.
