Tateshina Ranch offers a serene escape with stunning views of Lake Megami and the surrounding natural landscape. Located in Tateshina, Nagano, it's easily accessible by car from the Saku and Suwa ICs, or by bus from Sakudaira or Chino Stations. Visitors can enjoy leisurely nature walks and explore model courses, with the ranch serving as a gateway to the nearby Oizumisui Natural Garden. While the ranch itself is relatively small with a limited variety of animals, it provides a peaceful environment to interact with friendly creatures like sheep, goats and alpacas. Note that during winter, the area transforms into a ski resort, so be prepared for potentially icy conditions. The ranch is a great place to visit during the afternoon, and offers free parking and admission.
