Explore the Kii Fudoki-no-Oka, a Wakayama Prefectural museum facility established in 1971 to preserve and showcase the Iwase Senzuka burial mounds. This expansive 65-hectare park features over 430 burial mounds, an archaeological and folklore museum, relocated Edo-era houses (designated cultural properties), and a Man'yo botanical garden. The museum, modeled after a Yayoi-era raised-floor warehouse, exhibits local archaeological and folklore artifacts. Stroll through the Man'yo botanical garden to admire plants featured in the Man'yoshu poetry collection. Note that while park admission is free, there is a fee to enter the museum. The park is conveniently accessible by bus from JR Wakayama Station or by car from the Wakayama Interchange on the Hanwa Expressway.
