Currently closed due to earthquake damage from February 13, 2020, the Soma City Museum of History and Folklore - Kyodozo Annex offers a glimpse into the region's past. The main museum building showcases approximately 150 items related to Soma's history, folklore, and archaeology, including exhibits on the Soma Nomaoi festival, Soma Komayaki pottery, and works by sculptor Sato GenGen. The Kyodozo annex displays around 500 folk items, such as farming tools and sericulture equipment. Located a 15-minute walk from Soma Station or a 10-minute drive from Soma IC, admission to the main museum is ¥100 for adults, while the Kyodozo is free.
