Located within the grounds of Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, next to the Kaguraden hall, Fushimi Inari Taisha Ochaya offers a unique glimpse into the shrine's history. The Ochaya consists of two buildings: the Matsunoshitaya, originally intended as a restaurant but never opened, and a relocated Taisho-era teahouse. While the teahouse's interior is not open to the public, its architecture is considered historically significant. The building itself is designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan and was originally part of the Sento Imperial Palace. It's best to visit in the afternoon to appreciate the architecture and serene atmosphere.
